He was born March 2, 1923, at Sabetha, the son of Frederick D. and Sara Ewing Snyder, and was graduated from Sabetha High School. He lived in Clearwater since 1960. Mr. Snyder was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Clearwater. He was married to Virginia Okeson Oct. 31, 1948, at Sabetha. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Deborah Hirsch, Seattle, Wash.; four sons, William Snyder, Hollywood, Md., Michael Snyder, Fort Collins, Colo., Alan Snyder, Clearwater, and James Snyder, Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Marjorie Fuller, Colorado Springs; three brothers, Elmer Snyder, Sabetha, and Cecil Snyder, Golden, Colo, and his twin, Dayle Snyder, Amarillo, Texas; and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Clearwater. Burial will be in Albany Cemetery near Sabetha. Mr. Snyder will lie in state until 11 a.m. today at Webb Mortuary in Clearwater. The family will meet with friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
