Pallbearers went Tom Sandersfeld, Ralph Sandersfeld, both Marengo; Larry Bean, Casper, Wyoming; nephews Dwayne Blinkinsop, Camanche, and David Blinkinsop, Minneapolis, Minnesota; land a nephew-in-law John Fullmer, Edina, Minnesota. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Belle Plaine. Born June 30, 1915 in Belle Plaine, Gayle Mary Blinkinsop was the daughter of George and Agnes Vitek Peterman. She graduated from Belle Plaine high school in 1933 and attended the then Iowa State Teachers college, now University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, for two years. Her marriage to Edward Blinkinsop took place October 10,1936, at the Methodist parsonage, Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Seldon officiating. They operated the Belle Plaine Country club fora time, then lived in Des Moines and Kansas City, Missouri, before living in San Diego, California, while he was in the military service. They moved to Marengo April 1, 1946 when they purchased what was to become the Blinkinsop Shoe store which they have owned and operated the last 39 years. Mrs. Blinkinsop was active in the store until about ten years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist church and the United Meth odist Women. She was also a member of chapter AU P.E.O., the Marengo Golf club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, doing needlepoint and playing cards. She was a member of several card clubs. Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, Gary Blinkinsop, Davenport, and George Blinkinsop, Windham, New Hampshire; one sister, Beverly (Mrs. Robert) Hadenfelt, Belle Plaine; and three grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew, Windham, and Eric, Davenport.
