Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Gene David Mudloff was born on March 9, 1915 in Minnesota to Joseph and Catherine (Wolinski) Mudloff. The family moved to the O’Neill area when he was two. Gene attended St. Mary’s Academy through the eighth grade. Gene met Dorotha Stewart at a dance at Oakview. The two were later married at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill on November 26, 1940. The couple lived on several different farms until they settled on the family farm, north of Page, in 1945. Gene’s life revolved around his family, his farm, and his cattle. He drew a lot of satisfaction watching them all grow. He retired in 1995 and turned over the operation to his boys. Gene enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was proud to still have a driver’s license at the age of 99. Gene was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill. Gene is survived by his two children: Larry Mudloff, of Page, Dale Mudloff and wife, Glenda, of O’Neill; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorotha in 2004; one son, Norman Mudloff in 2014; one daughter-in-law, Kay Mudloff in 2009; two brothers; and five sisters.
