The son of Berry and Noma (Parks) Henderson was born on March 18, 1929 in St. Joe, Arkansas. Gene was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. He attended church at Buffalo River Baptist Church and was the owner/operator of Henderson's Backhoe Service. Gene was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Free Masons, specifically, Lodge # 317 in St. Joe. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Henderson; his parents; one brother, Lloyd Henderson; and one sister, Wilma Watts. Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Shelia and Robert Cellars, of Conway, AR; one nephew, Bill Watts, of Harrison, AR; sister-in-law, Mildred Spendlove, of Reno, NV; brothers-in-law, Mike High, of Sparks, NV and Danny High and wife, Betty Jo, of Hayward, CA; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Funeral service is Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Buffalo River Baptist Church, in St. Joe, AR, at 2:00 PM. Pastor Terry Knapp will officiate. Burial will be in Love Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
