Description	:	Gene H. Rieger passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Carolina Village Medical Center. She was a native of Minotola, NJ and was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Hoover, Sr. and Imogene C. Hoover. She was preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and a grandchild. She had been a resident of Hendersonville since 1983 and formerly lived in Woodbury, CT and Teaneck, NJ. She received a nursing degree from Waterbury, Connecticut School of Nursing. Rieger passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Carolina Village Medical Center. She was a native of Minotola, NJ and was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Hoover, Sr. and Imogene C. Hoover. She was preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and a grandchild. She had been a resident of Hendersonville since 1983 and formerly lived in Woodbury, CT and Teaneck, NJ. She received a nursing degree from Waterbury, Connecticut School of Nursing. She was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and served on various committees of the church. She was a member of the Gideonís International Auxiliary and was a volunteer at Carolina Village and Four Seasons Hospice. She is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, John; a son Bradford J. Rieger of Woodbridge, CT; two daughters Karen R. Laidlaw of Hillsdale, NJ and Ellen R. Bryan of Scottsdale, AZ; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a sister Ruth Mary Mazzochi of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Carolina Village Hall. Burial will take place at a later date in Friendship Cemetery, in Landisville, NJ.
