Read More	Geneva Cloney 1931 - 2013 It is with deep sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of Geneva Cloney, age 81, of Oxford. Geneva passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Center in Halifax on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 Born in South Victoria, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Cassie (Weeks) Thompson. The love of Geneva's life was being a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. In her younger years she was a cookie and cook for a woods crew, a seamstress at Stanfields, a clerk at Ron and Sally and a Bank Teller for the Bank of Nova Scotia. She retired from East Cumberland Lodge as a Personal Care Worker after over 20 years of service. She traveled around the world and enjoyed life to the fullest. Many of her adventures were shared with her faithful sidekick Niece Helen Thompson. Her Sanctuary was the cottage at Lighthouse View in Pugwash. A little competitive, she loved to play (and win at) Dominoes. Her companion in recent years was her beautiful dog Mr. Little. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Victoria. She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Catherine (Joe) MacMaster, Sackville, NB, Donalda (Brent) Marshall, Oxford, Jacqueline Cloney (Keith Jackson), Bedford, Bonnie Dobson, Birchwood, NS, Rosemary (Andrew) Cloney-Gaunt, Calgary, AB, Ruthann Brookins, Oxford; daughter-in-law Faye Cloney, Birchwood, NS; 21 grandchildren, Kelley, Kevin, Kirk, Linda, Russell C., Pam, Jake, Jason, Billi Jo, Charley, Deanna, Trevor, Michael, Jennifer, David J, Russell G., Adam, David G., Rachel, Gordon and Karen; 7 great grandchildren, Deidre, Kyle, Jeff, Sara, Kolby, Cole, and Avery. She was predeceased by her husband Donald; son Gene; granddaughter Sandie MacDonald; son-in-laws Terry Dobson and Peter Brookins; brothers Norman, Leon, Harold, and Gerald; sisters; Della Pettigrew, Hilda Thompson, and Laura Needham. Arrangements have been entrusted to the W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (902-447-2167) where family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2 pm, from Trinity United Church, Oxford, Rev. Gary MacDougall officiating. Burial will followe in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
