Description	:	Genevieve Arlene "Jenny" Boswell, 82, daughter of Glenn and Bertha Hubble Shewman, was born September 20, 1909, on a farm near Plainview, Texas, and died September 21 1991, at her home near Mount Etna, Iowa. Read More	Genevieve Arlene "Jenny" Boswell, 82, daughter of Glenn and Bertha Hubble Shewman, was born September 20, 1909, on a farm near Plainview, Texas, and died September 21 1991, at her home near Mount Etna, Iowa. The family moved to Quincy, Iowa, in 1910, where she spent her early childhood. Except for a few years in South Dakota, she spent her entire life in Iowa. She attended grade school in South Dakota and also schools in Adair and Adams County, Iowa. In 1929, she married Earl Rechtenbach. They resided on their farm near Bridgewater, Iowa, until his death in December, 1970. They were the parents of four sons.In 1972, she married Elmer E. Boswell and they lived on a farm near Mt. Etna. She was a member of the Mt. Etna Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Earl; two sons, Ray and Earnest; and a brother, Dale Shewman. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Boswell of Mt. Etna, Iowa; her sons, Robert Rechtenbach of Mt. Etna, Iowa, and David Rechtenbach of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Kathryn Fister and her husband Joe of Spearfish, South Dakota; five brothers, Cecil Shewman and wife, Vi of Knoxville, Iowa, Carl Shewman of Corning, Iowa, Avery Shewman and wife, Lillian and Clifford Shewman and wife, Flo all of Long Beach, California and Richard Shewman of Osceola, Iowa; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services were held September 25, 1991, at the Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Corning, Iowa, with the Rev. Richard Queener officiating. Casket bearers were her grandsons, Thomas, Mark, Mike and Dick Rechtenbach and Jeffey, Jimmy and Joe Bixler. Burial was in the Fontanelle Cemetery, Fontanelle, Iowa. Adams County Free Press, Corning, Iowa- Thursday, September 26, 1991.
