She moved to Webb, Iowa, as an infant where she spent her childhood attending the Webb school, graduating in 1927. She married Gaye Woodford in 1929, and to this union three children were born. In 1963, Genevieve married John Mori of Greenville, Iowa, where they farmed until his death in 1994. She loved the farm life, especially being outdoors doing farm chores and growing flowers.
