Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Philllips officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a Parish Vigil Service will be at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice. Ginger was born December 30, 1924 in Riverside, the daughter of Leo and Mary Kolar Kron. She was a 1943 graduate of City High School. During World War II Ginger was employed at the Pentagon in Washington DC as a secretary. On December 30, 1946 Ginger married Raymond M. Reiland, and of their union was born six children. Ginger was the Deputy Clerk of Court in Johnson Count for many years, retiring in 1988. She was the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Johnson County Legal Secretaries Assn. Ginger always encouraged her children to have a positive lookout on life. Her favorite quote was, "if you take the time to do something, do the best you can." Ginger is survived by five children, Paul (Debra) Reiland of West Linn, OR, Dr. Tom Reiland of Scottsdale, AZ, Richard Reiland of Iowa City, Ann Marie (James) Stainbrook of Independence and Michael (Karen) Reiland of Solon; one sister, Leona ( Hubert) Rummelhart of Iowa City; eleven grandchildren, Kimberlee, Joanne, Jaime, Jeremy, Melissa, James, Keith, Ashlen, Matthew, Megan and Joseph; five great grand children, Alaina, Avery, Kiera, Maitland and Owen; her former spouse, Raymond of Iowa City; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Beth; one brother Lawrence; two sisters, Marcella and Lucille; and one grandson Joseph Michael Reiland.
