Description	:	JEFFERSON, S.D. -- Genevieve M. Vondrak, 85, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. David Roehrich officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Larkin Northside Chapel in Sioux City. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1939 and from Briar Cliff College in 1943. She taught school in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. She taught at Heelan High School in Sioux City from 1960 until 1971. She married Paul Vondrak on Jan. 31, 1944, in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Jefferson. Paul died on Aug. 25, 1997, in Sioux City. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson. She was an avid doll collector. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Barbara and Richard Atchison of Worthington, Minn.; three grandchildren, Alan and Colleen Atchison of Dallas, Texas, Joel Atchison of Wichita, Kan. and Kristin Atchison of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a brother and his wife, Albert and Earlyne Girard of South Sioux City. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Alan Atchison, Joel Atchison, Kristin Atchison, Robert McKelvey, William McKelvey and Kevin Vondrak.
