Obituary Genevieve Minkler Montgomery, 80, was born in Milford township, Story county, Dec. 29, 1877 and deid at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wendel in Des Moines, Tuesday at 10 p. m. where she had made her home since 1934. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Minkler of Milford married to Charles C. Montgomery in Nevada, Jan. 19, 1898, making their home on a farm for a number of years and later in Nevada. She was a member of the Nevada Methodist church and of the Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul Wendel and one grandson Gary Wendel, both of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1944, and by a son who died in infancy. Here for Services A large number of relatives and friends from Des Moines, Ames, Nevada, Colo and elsewhere were in attendance at the last rites.
