Survivors include a daughter, Diane Kristjanson and husband George of Shellsburg; two sons, Steve Pidima and wife Barb of Victor and Stan Pidima of Marion; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and all 11 of her sibliings. Genevieve was born Nov. 20, 1915, the daughter of Jessie and Mary Zenolik Van Scoyoc, in Luzerne. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1934. On March 14, 1938, she married Joe Pidima. They farmed together in the Victor area until his death on Sept. 8, 1973, at the family home. Genevieve was a farm wife for 35 years and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Genevieve enjoyed watching the Cubs, Iowa Basketball and Jeff Gordon, reading and embroidery. She enjoyed playing games and spending time with her grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
