Genevieve was born April 25, 1916, in Marion, to John and Lulu Andrews Shaffer. She attended old Washington High School. She married John W. Divis on June 21, 1937, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He died January 10, 1982. She had worked for Wilson's and as a cook and bartender at Seb's Tavern-Mac's Lounge. She enjoyed bird watching, especially cardinals. She loved gardening and her dogs. Memorials contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or to Hospice of Mercy.
