Description	:	Genevieve Keim, daughter of John Henry and Nora (Bruce) Williams, was born November 4, 1911, on a farm southeast of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2002, at Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron, Nebraska, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 22 days. She joined the Nelson Methodist Church in 1924 while Rev. V.R. Beebe was serving as minister. Genevieve attended a rural school through the 8th grade and graduated from Nelson High School in 1929. September 10, 1936, Genevieve was united in marriage to Charley R. Keim at Superior, Nebraska. Two sons were born to this union. Genevieve rode horseback each day to teach at the rural school northwest of Nelson. She also was a farm wife helping Charley and son, Larry. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting. She was a member of the Busy Bee Club. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Charley, on August 27, 1974; one sister, Lois Montgomery; and one infant brother, Clifford Williams. Survivors include two sons, Larry of Nelson and Harold and his wife Verla of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two sisters, Reta Schott and her husband LeRoy of Nelson and Eileen Stohler and her husband Leo of Hastings; one brother, Wilbur Williams and his wife Hazel of Nelson; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 31, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, Nebraska, with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating. Music will be "In the Garden" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", with Ruth Watts as soloist and Virginia Drohman as organist. Interment will be in Nelson Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sam Willett, Danny Jacobitz, Philip Wehrman, Alfred Hanson, Royce Schott and Alvin Schott. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson is in charge of arrangements.
