Genevieve was born in St Francis, KS on November 12th, 1924 to Jacob and Rose Walz. She was the second of eight children. Read More	Genevieve Wuanita (Walz) Ochsner passed away on October 8th, 2018, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was 93 years old. Genevieve was born in St Francis, KS on November 12th, 1924 to Jacob and Rose Walz. She was the second of eight children. She had one brother, Robert, and 6 sisters, Nettie, Ruth, Alberta, Deloris, Mary Lou and Ella Mae. Genevieve married Harvey Ochsner on February 17th, 1946. They farmed West of Saint Francis until 1955, when they moved to Denver. They later moved to Burlington, Colorado where they farmed until Harvey's death in 1993. During that time, she also owned and operated Gen's Taco's in Burlington. From there, Genevieve moved to Greeley, Colorado and then Denver. She moved to LaSalle, Colorado where she lived with her son Dan and his wife Karen for a year until 2017. In 2017, she moved to Salt Lake City to live with her daughter Sharon and her husband Craig. Genevieve and Harvey had four children. Ronnie (Ellie), Denver, CO, Daniel (Karen), Cody, WY James (Pamela), Colorado Springs, and Sharon (Craig McCune) from Salt Lake City, UT. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Rose Walz, her husband, Harvey Ochsner, one brother, Robert Walz and two sisters, Ruth McAtee and Nettie Ochsner. Genevieve is survived by her four children, 4 sisters, seven grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Henry, John, Jonathan James (JJ), Jacob and Jeremy, three great grandchildren, Makena, Abigail and Eleanor, as well as many nephews and nieces. Memorial Services will be held at the St Francis Methodist Church on 23 Oct at 12 noon. Published by Brown Funeral Homes, Eads, Co.
