She was born May 29, 1929 in Grant, Nebraska to Charles and Martha (Pankonin) Lance. She married Ronald H. Bullock in Grant on October 10, 1951. They moved from Grant to Wahoo in September of 1953. Genise worked more than 30 years as administration clerk for the A.S.C.S. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she skillfully balanced career and family and actively participated in the lives of three generations of her offspring. Genise was a past president of the Wahoo Eagleís Auxiliary #2971, and worked many years at the statewide level in the United Methodist Womenís organization. Retirement was not a resting time for Genise, whose passions for her church, family and community led her to tireless involvement in a variety of projects. She regularly delivered meals on wheels, worked as a secretary at Bullock Brothers Construction Company, participated in a morning Bible Study group as well as a bowling league, and served many years as church treasurer. She made taped recordings of the worship service each Sunday and delivered them to homebound members of the congregation. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jane Cornelius, and granddaughter Taryn Elizabeth Bullock. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Mick and Patti Bullock of Yutan, and Terry and Leanne Bullock of Wahoo; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Don Meduna of Colon; brother and sister-in-law Roscoe and Judie Lance of Davenport, IA; sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Duane Schroeder of Brighton, CO; grandchildren and their spouses Greg and Tammy Meduna, Tim and Tina Meduna, Soni and Josh Navarro, Angie and Dave Hughes, Amy Bullock, Travis Bullock, Terra and Brandon Orndorff; great-grandchildren Alex, Haley, Lance, and Marissa Meduna, Alexandra and Abigail Hughes, and Lucas Bullock; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Wahoo with the Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no viewing. Inurnment will be in Sunrise Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
