Description	:	George Masseth Sr., 86, died June 2, 2004, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Revs. Patrick Schumacher and John Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bismarck. George was born Aug. 6, 1917, to Adam and Philipina (Feist) Masseth, in Logan County, where he was raised and educated on a farm in the Napoleon area. George was born Aug. 6, 1917, to Adam and Philipina (Feist) Masseth, in Logan County, where he was raised and educated on a farm in the Napoleon area. They farmed in that area until 1958, moving to Bismarck where he worked as a salesman in various areas, including selling appliances at ACE Hardware until 1972. They moved to Mandan in 1977. He continued farming in Logan County for several years, as farming was his love. He loved visiting, playing pinochle, sharing stories of the Old Days when he had to make "something out of nothing". He helped many people through his life and was noted for his ability to do most anything. He was especially proud of his family and he will be deeply missed by his wife and his family. He was an active member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Eagles and Elks Club. He is survived by his love of his life of 63 years, Mary; his children, George Jr. and Ursula, Marian and Ivo Klein, Joe and Jane, Linda and Carlyle Will and Dan and Claudia; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Danita and Bob Lillis, Brooke, Paige and Nate, Georgia and Mark Stuhlmiller and Derek, Anthony and Cheryl Masseth, Jayden and Easton, Dan and Vanessa Masseth, Lukas, Anna, Nellie and Jacob, Loren and Shelley Klein, Alexis and Taylor, Brian and Jeannne Masseth and Carson, Sara Masseth and her finance, Daren Bauer, and Brittany, Travis and Meghan Will, and Braden, Jason and Stacey Will, Danielle and Steve Duppong, Dustin Masseth and Jameson Masseth; two brothers, Sebastian (Maggie) Masseth, Bismarck, and Adam (Mary) Masseth, Fargo; four sisters, Mary Kraft, Gean (Val) Gross, Regina (Marvin) Reuer, all of Bismarck and Rosie (William) Vetter; four brothers-in-law, Adam (Florence) Gefreh, John (Sally) Gefreh, and Louie Chmielewski; and four sisters-in-law, Katie (Wendelin) Vetter, Jennie Masseth, Chris Masseth, and Mary Masseth. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Mary; three brothers, James, Pete and Joe; and one sister, Julia Chmielewski.
