Description	:	Funeral services for George A. Stevens, 67, long-time Norfolk resident who died Saturday morning at a Norfolk hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Norfolk Home for Funerals. The Rev. Peter C. Krey officiated. Interment was in the New Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Miller, Herman Krueger, Harry Dieatrick, Julius Lindsteadt, Ernest Lindsteadt, and William Peters. George A. Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. N. (Josephine Rebecca Peterson, 1853-1925) Stevens, was born July 7, 1885, at Sioux Fall (sic), S.D., and died Sept. 20 in a Norfolk hospital following a lingering illness. He attended school at Sioux Falls and came to Norfolk in 1907. He was married to Augusta Speiring Aug. 14, 1910. Eight children were born to the couple. In 1912, they moved to Prescho, S. D., where they lived for a number of years before moving back to Norfolk to make their home. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Janssen and Mrs. Bryan Earwood, Norfolk; four sons, Leo, Chester, and John of Norfolk, and Richard, Omaha; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. S. A. Spencer, Lotis, Calif., and two brothers, Walter, Tulare, Calif., and Roy, Riverton, Wyo. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph and Victor. Memorial managed by 7th cousin
