Description	:	George Hensleigh, 86, of Jordan died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at the Holy Rosary Extended Care Facility in Miles City where he had resided for the last three months. Mr. Hensleigh was born April 21, 1919, at the family ranch in Garfield County, the son of John and Gertrude Sinz Hensleigh. He attended schools in Jordan and graduated from Garfield County High School where he participated in track, football and basketball. Read More	George Hensleigh, 86, of Jordan died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at the Holy Rosary Extended Care Facility in Miles City where he had resided for the last three months. Mr. Hensleigh was born April 21, 1919, at the family ranch in Garfield County, the son of John and Gertrude Sinz Hensleigh. He attended schools in Jordan and graduated from Garfield County High School where he participated in track, football and basketball. On June 3, 1942, he and Freda Kasper were married and they operated the family ranch for many years. Mr. Hensleigh was active on the Garfield County School Board, the Farmers Union and in the Lions Club. He and his wife managed the Garfield County Rest Home from 1956 to 1969 and were cottage parents at Pine Hills School for Boys in Miles City for two years. George served as deputy sheriff and until his retirement worked at Ryan's Grocery Store. His family was important to him and he was proud of their accomplishments, work and education. Mr. Hensleigh carried on a tradition for family reunions and always treasured them. He will be remembered for his smile, bright blue eyes, dry sense of humor, strong work ethic and enjoying visits with friends and family. George's survivors include his children, Darrell of Salt Lake City, Rosemary Malloy of Miles City, Robert (Jean) of Great Falls, Jerry of Jordan, Gene (Robbie) of Colstrip, Patrick (Jonie) of Bozeman and Janette Hensleigh (Mark Boyle) of Indianapolis, Ind. Survivors also include his grandchildren, Christine (Paul Kaszuba), Katherine (Chris) McGill, Patrick and James Hensleigh; Michelle (Russ) Kaiser, Mark, Brad and Scott Malloy; Brenda (Nathan) Anderson; Tonya (Kevin) South and Denver Hensleigh; Shane, Will and Ryan Hensleigh; Lisa, Joe, and Emily Hensleigh. Mr. Hensleigh also is survived by two sisters, Marion Shelton of Lewistown and Helen Neudorfer of Seattle, Wash.; seven great-grandchildren, Rachel Rosemary and Matthew Kaiser, Will and KateLynn South, Kolton and Kaden Hensleigh and J. Wyatt Kaszuba; and numerous nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Freda; three brothers; one sister; two grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at the Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Jordan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan.
