Description	:	Obituary: Geo. Allen Baker was born in Noble Co., Indiana, November 28th, 1854. Died, December 4, 1919 at the Pythian Home at Springfield, Mo., of apoplexy, age 65 years 6 days. He came to Valley Township, Reno Co., Kansas in 1877 where he engaged in farming for a number of years, later he was engaged in the livery business in Hutchinson, after that he entered the railroad service and continued in that service for about 20 years until failing health compelled him to resign. Died, December 4, 1919 at the Pythian Home at Springfield, Mo., of apoplexy, age 65 years 6 days. He came to Valley Township, Reno Co., Kansas in 1877 where he engaged in farming for a number of years, later he was engaged in the livery business in Hutchinson, after that he entered the railroad service and continued in that service for about 20 years until failing health compelled him to resign. He was an inmate at the Pythian Home ten months and two days. Funeral services were held at the Pythian Home auditorium, Sunday December 6th at 6 p.m., after which the remains were shipped to Burrton, Kan. Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church Wednesday 3 p.m., Rev. Ireland officiating. The Burrton Lodge I.O.O.F. were in charge. Interment was made in the Burrton cemetery by the side of his infant daughter. He leaves to mourn his departure one daughter, Alice Pearl of Houston, Texas, one brother Chas. F. of Burrton Kans., one sister, Mrs. A.E. Brink of Seattle, Washington and a number of nephews and nieces, his brother W. Chauncey, having preceded him a little more than one year.
