Read More	George Aloy Morton New Germany - George Aloy Morton, oldest resident of Watford, Lunenburg County, passed away at his home in Watford following a short illness. Born in Watford 95 years ago, Mr. Morton was the son of the late Silas and Sarah Ann (Young) Morton. His entire life was spent in Watford, except for a few years spent in Worcester, Mass. For years he served Lunenburg County with his services as practical veterinary. For many years he also operated a farm in Watford. Mr. Morton was a lodge charter member and was an Oddfellow over 50 years. He was also a Rebecca member. Mrs. Morton passed away four years ago, in 1955, but before her death on January 1, 1955, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversay. Surviving are one daughter, Helen (Mrs. Malcolm M. Spidle) of Port Arthur, Ont., and one son, Raymond of Hollywood, Calif. One son, Ernest predeceased him in 1945. Mrs. Ernest Morton with her son, Waldo, and daughter, Shirley, lived with Mr. Morton and cared for him. Two sisters, Mrs. Mariam Eaton of Worcester and Mrs. Lalia Bell of New Germany and three brothers, Lockhart of Barss Corner, Lunenburg County; Parker of Tangerine, Fla.; and Rupert of Worcester also survive. There are also nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The funeral service was held from the United Church in Barss Corner, with Rev. Eric Miner officiating.
