Description	:	HAVENSVILLE -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the United Methodist church here for George A. Randel, 94, Route 1, Corning, who died Monday in an Onaga hospital. He was admitted to a Topeka hospital Oct. 27 after he suffered a broken left hip in a fall, underwent surgery, and later was transferred to Onaga. He was born Aug. 20, 1879, near Corning and spent most of his life in the America City community between Havensville and Corning. He was married to Elise Myers, Sept. 22, 1900. She died Jan. 5, 1923. He also was preceded in death by sons, Robert C. Randel, April 3, 1965, Paul D. Randel, Aug. 19, 1965 and Wayne A. Randel, Nov. 13, 1965. Survivors include nine children; 47 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial will be in America City cemetery. Tessendorf mortuaries at Onaga is in charge of arrangements. The Onaga Herald 22 Nov. 1973 George A. Randel of America City, died November 19 at Community hospital here after a short illness. The son of Robert and Orpha Randel, he was born August 20, 1879. He was married to Elsie Olive Myers of Arcadia, Ohio on September 22, 1900 and they were the parents of 13 children. He was a farmer in the America City community his entire life, retiring at the age of 81. Survivors include seven sons, George V. Randel of the home at America City; Arthur S. Randel, Santa Ana, California, Garrett Randel, Boise, Idaho, Vernet Randel, Seal Beach, California, Richard Randel, Kansas City, Kansas, Raymond Randel, Frankfort, and Worth Randel, West Point, Nebraska; three daughters, Mrs. Bess O. Brunner, Onaga, Mrs Dorothy Bottom, Havensville, and Mrs Helen Haldeman, Topeka; 46 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
