Description	:	George A. Jensen was born at Bennet, Neb., March 3, 1891. He passed away at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, February 11, 1973, at the age of 81 years, 11 months. He was married November 16, 1921, to Gladys Ione Benway, who preceded in in death. They lived on a farm near Fairmont until 1938 when they moved to town and he operated a plumbing business until retiring. Jensen was born at Bennet, Neb., March 3, 1891. He passed away at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, February 11, 1973, at the age of 81 years, 11 months. He was married November 16, 1921, to Gladys Ione Benway, who preceded in in death. They lived on a farm near Fairmont until 1938 when they moved to town and he operated a plumbing business until retiring. For the past five years he has been residing at Good Samaritan Village in Hastings. Mr. Jensen served in World War I from 1913 until his discharge in 1918. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and the American Legion. Mr. Jensen is survived by five children, Victor of Fairmont, Earl of Fort Collins, Col. Dorothy (Mrs. Jerold Fishel) and Loma (Mrs. Charles Taylor), both of Salem, Ore., and Marjorie (Mrs. Carl Sweanngen) of Hastings; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Services were held in the United Church of Christ at 2:30 p.m., February 14, with Rev. Jay Schmidt officiating. Music consisted of "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Oh, For a Faith" sung by Mrs. Rolland Hall. Mrs. Marvin Swartz was organist. Pallbearers were Lloyd Dawson, Leonard Eifert, Harry Kelch, Claude Lefler, Gailard Philson and Franis Schepers. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
