Description	:	OBITUARY. George Augustus Claflin was born near Lebanon, Iowa, May 8, 1842, and died in the Ottumwa hospital Aug. 29, 1922. He was married to Lucinda Emaline Warner Jan. 5, 1871, who died in 1897. To this union was born five children, Hugh Farfax of Milton, Ia.; Charles Walace of Douds; Clara Maud deceased. Mabel Mamie Frazee of Brush, Colo.; and Edna Odel of St. Johns, Kansas. He also raised one niece, Lena Jamison of South Dakota. His twin sister Mrs. Julia Evans of Milton, Mrs. Mary Haynes of Oskaloosa and Mrs. Edna Cole of California. He was married in 1904 to Mrs. Anna Jamison Cubberly who survives him. He leaves five grandchildren. He and his wife united by letter with the M.E. church about twelve years ago to which he remained faithful until death. He was a kind husband and father, a good neighbor always ready to help in sickness or need. He was a great sufferer the last year of his life. His last hours were peaceful and he expressed a willingness to go. The funeral was held at the M.E. church Friday afternoon, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. W.H.
