Description	:	Frederick News, January 20, 1891 Slipped from an Engine and Run Over George B. Mann, son of Samuel Mann, who resides on the Virginia side of the river, opposite Knoxville, met with an accident Saturday last at Ivy City, near Washington, D.C., which may cost him his life. He went out on the front of the engine which he was fireman of, to oil the safety caps, when he slipped and fell in front of the engine, which passed over him, cutting both legs off. He was removed to one of the hospitals, where he is receiving all the attention that can be given him, and the last news received at Knoxville reports that that he is doing well. It is not known if he can survived his injuries or not at present. Mr. Mann has been employed on the railroad for several years and is about 28 years of age.
