Description	:	George Bauer was born December 19, 1841, in Gaertenroth, Oberfranken, Germany. He died in his home at Seward Nov. 27, 1921, his age being 79 years, 11 months and 8 days. Mr. Bauer was baptized and confirmed in his native country. In the year 1869, March 15, he came to Burlington, Iowa, where he was united in holy wedlock with Catherine Frosch by Rev. Mr. Bauer was baptized and confirmed in his native country. In the year 1869, March 15, he came to Burlington, Iowa, where he was united in holy wedlock with Catherine Frosch by Rev. On January 11, 1920, Mr. and Mrs. Bauer celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Since the year 1894 Mr. Bauer has been a faithful member of the Ev. Friedens church, and for a number of years he was a member of the Board of Trustees of his congregation. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mrs. Catherine Bauer, his two sons George and Fritz, his two daughters Mrs. Ben Eicher and Mrs. Herman Haas and thirteen grandchildren and many friends. The funeral service was held at the Ev. church on Nov. 29, 1921, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Ad. Woth. Interment was made in the North cemetery. Seward Journal, Seward, NE, Thurs, December 1, 1921
