Description	:	Byron Kimble passed away at his home here, Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, following a several weeks illness. Mr. Kimble, who was 70 years old at death, suffered an attack of bronchitis several weeks ago. His health failed fast from that point. He lived in this community 51 years, coming here as a youth. George Byron Kimble, second son of Albert and Amanda Kimble, was born January 16, 1867 in Syracuse, Ill. He died December 5, 1937 in Creighton, Nebr., aged 70 years, 10 months and 19 days. When he was three years of age, he moved with his parents to a farm near Waterloo, Iowa. Here they lived until he was 19, when the family moved to a homestead southwest of Creighton. May 1889 he married Katie Ann Green. To this union eight children, six boys and two girls were born. The living children are: James Wayne, Howard,Clark C. and Ellen Kyriss of Creighton, Anabel of Glasgow, Mont., Frank of Osmond, and Charlie of Plainview. One son, Harold, preceded him in death. His father died in 1904, his mother in 1908. In 1893 he homesteaded a tract of land in the vicinity of what was then called Millerboro. In 1889 he became a Christian and joined the Presbyterian church in Millerboro. Afterward, he was elected an elder and a trustee of this church, which offices he held until his death. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his one brother, Harry of Brunswick, thirteen grandchildren, a number of cousins and other relative. They, with the many friends and acquaintances he acquired during his long residence in the community, will miss him. ...The Creighton News 9 Dec 1937
