Vigil and Rosary is 6 p.m. Friday, as Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral mass is 10 n.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Blanco officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Lamhrecht was born June 30, 1908 in Piefer, Russia to George and Catherine Jacobs Lambrecht. He went to Poland with his parents in September 1912. where they boarded a ship for England. He went to Poland with his parents in September 1912. where they boarded a ship for England. They then boarded another ship to the U.S. They landed in Philadelphia, Penn., on Nov. 6, 1912. They moved to Topeka, Kan., where they lived until May 10, 1913. They then moved to Ovid, where they farmed until 1928. He attended a one-room country school and the Ovid School. They then moved to the Iliff area, where he met and married Mary Stieb Jan 30, 1930 at St Catherine Catholic Church in Iliff . He continued to farm until his retirement. Mr. Lambrecht is survived by daughters JoAnn Rizzolo and Rosemary Nicholson, both of Sterling; brothers Joe of Sterling and August of Greeley; sister Mary Bahl of California; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1993.
