He married Nellie Cone at Eldora, Iowa in 1897. She passed away in 1918. In 1915 they moved to Beulah where he was a fireman at the Beulah Power Plant. Air Force, Arlington, Va.; Iva, Mrs. George Myers, Portland, Oregon; Mary, Mrs. Theron Davidson, Beulah; Grace, Mrs. George Elliot of Seattle; Hazel, Mrs. Fred Davis, Arlington, Wash; 34 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Henry Bowers of Eldora, Iowa and Harlow Bowers of Spencer, Iowa. Mrs. Maude Cone, Hot Springs, S. Dak, and Mrs. Grace Reisinger of Eldora, Iowa. One son preceeded him in death. Funeral services are being held at the Congregational Church of Beulah today, Oct. 1 at 2:00 p.m.. Rev. Kriedemann officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Aarthun Funeral Home of Beulah in charge of the arrangements.
