Description	:	George Dennis, son of Joseph and Mary Dennis, was born near Joliet, Illinois, November 20, 1852, and died in Hastings, Nebr., Oct. 2, 1937, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 12 days. When a small child, he moved with his parents to Missouri, where he grew to manhood. Later he moved to Nebraska, settling at Fairmont, where he lived for 54 years, excepting four years at Oak, Nebr. Read More	George Dennis, son of Joseph and Mary Dennis, was born near Joliet, Illinois, November 20, 1852, and died in Hastings, Nebr., Oct. 2, 1937, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 12 days. When a small child, he moved with his parents to Missouri, where he grew to manhood. Later he moved to Nebraska, settling at Fairmont, where he lived for 54 years, excepting four years at Oak, Nebr. In 1919 he moved to Edgar, Neb., where he lived the remainder of his life. May 7, 1901, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Eggert of Fairmont. To this union three sons were born, John L. and Thomas E., at home, and Jesse, who died in infancy. He leaves to mourn besides his wife and sons; two brothers, Joseph of Galt, Mo. and Henry of Calea, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Losh of Lanneus, Mo., and many nephews and nieces in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Three brothers preceded him in death, Edward, John and Thomas. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in Edgar, Neb., Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. T.S. Hughes officiating. Music was furnished by a male quartet composed of Messrs. J.G. Walley, Robert Olsen, J.M. McGhie and Leland Voorhees. The pallbearers were Giblert Albro, Dennis Albro, Leonard Albro, Clarence Snyder, John Barkmeier and Edward Ackerman. Interment was in Fairmont cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
