His obituary in the "Bozeman Daily Chronicle" included: "Don is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his daughters, Cindy Coleman, Joyce Kirk, Terry (Don) Treat, and Corky (Bruce) Henderson; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Linda (Richard) Cleveland and Helen (Gene) Duncan; and one brother, James (Sharon) Sprinkle." Don served in the Navy during the Korean conflict.
