Marshall, 73, well known Henry county citizen, passes away Tuesday morning at his home near Horsepasture, following a brief illness. Death was due to an attack of pneumonia and other complications. Funeral services were held from Horsepasture Christian Church Wednesday afternoon, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Surviving are two sisters, Mesdames N. S. Bouseman of Horsepasture and M. H. Pedigo of Bluefield, W. Va. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. The deceased was never married. He was a member of the Horsepasture church. The paper dated 4/12/1932, p. 6, Horsepasture, had the following note: Mr. and Mrs. Mack Pedigo of Bluefield, Va., were called here last week by the illness and death of the latter's brother, George O. Marshall. Among those from a distance attending the funeral of George O. Marshall were Mr. and Mrs. Mack Pedigo and sons of Bluefield, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall and Miss Lelia White of Victoria, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Shultz of Winston-Salem, N. C.; Mrs. Arthur Miller, Mrs. Britian and John Marshall of Roanoke, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scales and Miss Effie Lewellyn of Stoneville, N. C. George O. Marshall died at the home of his sister, Mrs. N. S. Bouseman.
