Description	:	George E. Moore passed away Friday morning, December 21st, after a long illness. He had been in failing health for the past two years and for sometime past was in a critical condition. All that tender hands and medical skill could do for him were done. He was exceedingly patient until the end. George E. Moore, son of Daniel and Eunice Moore, was born in Fairfield, Iowa, August 27th, 1859, and died at Albion, December 21st, aged 69 years, three months and 24 days. He had been in failing health for the past two years and for sometime past was in a critical condition. All that tender hands and medical skill could do for him were done. He was exceedingly patient until the end. George E. Moore, son of Daniel and Eunice Moore, was born in Fairfield, Iowa, August 27th, 1859, and died at Albion, December 21st, aged 69 years, three months and 24 days. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1872 and located near Schuyler, where he met and was married to Jennette Dunlop. To this union were born fourteen children, three of whom died in infancy. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and eleven children, William of Clearwater; Mrs. Mae Cooper, Mrs. Goldie Nelson, Carter and James of St. Edward; Mrs. Geannie Larsen of Madison; Mrs. Eunice Ross and Clark of Madrid and Marion, Florence and Robert of Albion. Besides these he leaves three brothers and two sisters, Carter and Nathan Moore of Fort Lupton, Colorado; Charles Moore of Monte Rose, Colo.; Mrs. Ida Erlewine of Grant and Mrs. Ella Thompson of Underwood, Iowa; also eighteen grandchildren. From childhood he was a devout member of the Baptist church. He moved with his family to Albion in 1917 and has since made this his home. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. O. King at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon, December 23rd, and interment was made in the Rose Hill Cemetery. (Albion Weekly News, Albion Nebraska, Thursday, December 27, 1928)
