Edward Buzard, 76, prominent retired business man of Columbiana died Monday following a prolonged illness. Deceased was born in North Lima May 15, 1856, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Buzard. For quite a number of years he was engaged in general merchandising at East Lewistown during which time he was the Dispatch's valued local correspondent. More than 35 years ago he disposed of his Lewistown store and removed to Columbiana where he for a long time was successfully engaged in the grocery and meat business, retiring in 1916. He was prominent in M. E. Church work, K. of P. lodge, and as a director of the Union Banking Co. Surviving him are his widow, who before marriage was Miss Mary Fullwiler of Canfield, two sons, Tod F., Cleveland, and Charles L., Columbiana, and one grandson. Funeral services Thursday afternoon were held from the M. E. Church, Rev. C. R. Meeken and Rev. Wykoff, a former minister of the church, being in charge. Interment in Columbiana mausoleum."
