Description	:	George Gradon, pioneer Albion business man, passed away at his home here Monday evening, October 24th, at about eight-thirty. He was ill but a short time, having been down town but two or three days earlier. George Edward Gradon was born in Kindalville, Indiana, February 3, 1863. He spent his boyhood there and came as a young man to eastern Nebraska. Later he went to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and from there to Grand Island. He was ill but a short time, having been down town but two or three days earlier. George Edward Gradon was born in Kindalville, Indiana, February 3, 1863. In the spring of 1885 he came to Albion where he established a grocery business. On November 6, 1889, he was married to Jennie Voorhees at Norfolk. They have resided in the same home in Albion ever since and would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary next year. To this union one child was born, Madge Gradon who is now teaching in Seattle, who with his wife survive him. Mr. Gradon was a charter member of the Knights of Pythias Order and has always been interested in the affairs of the community. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of Rev. McKeeman of the Congregational church. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
