Mr. Widdowson was the son of John and Ann Widdowson. He was born March 13, 1857 at Dixonville, Pennsylvania. He was united in marriage with Eliza Walter February 1, 1887. She preceded him in death May 10, 1903 at Shelton, Nebraska. To this union were born three children, Bertha Flory of Shelton, Clara Rosenthal and Howard M. of Gibbon. Of nine brothers and sisters three are living, Enos and Mrs. S.H. Bosh of Niagara Falls, New York and Mrs. Alice Hauck of Indiana, Pennsylvania. He also leaves seven grandchildren. His brother John Milton, of Carrolton, Illinois passed away very suddenly a month ago. He was a member of Shelton, I.O.O.F. lodge, the Encampment and the Muscovite Order. When a young man he went to Illinois where he worked several years and made many friends. Immediately after his marriage, he came to Shelton, Nebraska and was a prominent farmer near Shelton for forty-five years. He was a kind and loving father and well-esteemed by his many friends.
