He was born April 12, 1925, near Cairo to Vaunt and Ruth Weierman Lamb, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 14, 1948, he married Eunice Spacht, who survives. "ED" LAMB, 76, Cairo, died at 5:15 a.m. Feb. 17, 2002, at his residence. He was born April 12, 1925, near Cairo to Vaunt and Ruth Weierman Lamb, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 14, 1948, he married Eunice Spacht, who survives. Mr. Lamb retired in 1987 as a machinist from Westinghouse Corp., Lima, after 37 years. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96, both in Lima. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, and the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He loved to fish and enjoyed gardening and camping. Survivors also include three sons, Eugene (Terry) Lamb and Greg Lamb, both of Lima, and George Lamb Jr. of Cairo; a daughter, Marjean (Steve) Finn of Morley, Mich.; two brothers, Robert (Marie) Lamb of Lima and Howard (Jane) Lamb of Cairo; two sisters, Josephine Rasmussen of Royal, Ark., and Eileen Dick) Sybert of Rolla, Mo.; 11 grand children, Sharon, Karena, Jeff, Michele, Ben, John, Elizabeth, Jason, Britt, Bobbi and Beth; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Kennedy, Delaney, Brett, Marissa, Kayli and Faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Campbell; and a grandson, Brian Lamb. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. The Rev. Mary Kay Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Cairo East Side Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice or the Cairo United Methodist Church.
