He was 42 years of age. Mr. Hatch became ill with the flu January 4th and his condition rapidly became worse and pneumonia developed within a few days. Mr. Hatch was born on February 2 , 1895, at Snowmass, the son of J. H. and Amelia Hatch, and attended the Snowmass public schools of Carbondale and On June 22, 1922, he was united in marriage to Miss Florence Roberts, at Glenwood Springs, and to this union two daughters and one son were born Following their marriage, the young couple resided on farms on Wild Cat and later on Brush Creek, where he resided until his death. He was a farmer all his life and a member of the Community church. Mr. Hatch is survived by his sorrowing widow, Mrs. Florence Roberts Hatch, and three children, Lois age 13, Jean age 8, and Darrel age 6, and one sister, Mrs. Nellie (Hatch) Finister of Salt Lake City, and one brother, Jacob Hatch of this community. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at two o'clock from the Community Church with Rev. H. S. Davis officiating. Burial will be made in the Red Butte Cemetery. Miss Marion Correll and Charles Evans will render several musical selections.
