Beery were held in Edgar, Thursday, March 7, 1935, at the Methodist Church with Rev Homer B. Hix in charge. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery. George E. Beery was born on a farm near Edgar, Nebraska, on June 10, 1886 and died at the University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, on March 5, 1935, at the age of 48 years, eight months and twenty three days. He spent his early childhood in the vicinity of Edgar. He was married to Miss Gertrude L. Jones on October 17, 1906. To this union eight children were born, three of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and five daughters, Mrs. Leslie Beck of Edgar, Mrs. Robert Roth of Deweese, Mrs. E. H. Baker of Fairfield and Celista and lola at home, and by his mother and two brothers, Wilbert and Ernie Beery and a host of other relatives and friends. On April 1, 1934, Mr Beery moved with his family to Endicott, Nebr., where he was employed as section foreman for the C. B. & Q. Ry.
