Description	:	George was the son of Sampson and Mary Lewis Evans. He married Mary/Polly Bryan on 12 Oct. 1808 in Campbell County, Virginia. They moved to Ohio and settled in Greene County. They purchase 50 acres on 23 Feb. 1816. This is the first "record" of them in the county. In 1817, they pay taxes on this land. George is on the 1840 Census and pays personal propery tax in 1841.
