Pfeiffer, 58, died very suddenly Thursday, April 25th of a heart attack at his farm home near Scribner. Mr. Pfeiffer was born February 12, 1899, at Hooper, and had lived all of his life in this community, the last six years on the farm south of Scribner. He was confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont and at the time of his death was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Scribner. On August 22, 1931, he was married to Margaret Gerths at Marysville, Missouri. Surviving besides his wife, Margaret, are his mother, Mrs. Ella Pfeiffer at Union, Nebr.: two brothers, Herb of Bemidji, Minn., and Walter of Hooper; two sisters, Sue of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Alta Bigby of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his father in 1937. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m., at the United Lutheran Church in Scribner with the Rev. R. R. Pfeiffer officiating. Burial was in the Pebble Cemetery. The funeral arrangements were by Wollmer and Warne. Music for the service was by the male quartet, Elton Shultz, Harold Wagner, Leslie Meyer and John Lamberty, with Mrs. Loyd Bradbury as organist. He passed away at his home south of Scribner, April 25, 1957, at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 13 days. George was married to Margaret Gerths at Marysville, Mo. on Aug. 27, 1931. His father preceded him in death in 1937. Relatives who remain to cherish the memory of a loved one are his wife, Margaret Pfeiffer at home, his mother, Mrs. Ella Pfeiffer of Union, Nebraska at Grandview nursing home; two brothers, Herbert Pfeiffer of Bimidji, Minn., and Walter Pfeiffer of Hooper; two sisters, Sue Pfeiffer of Anneheim, Calif., and Alta, Mrs. Rigby, Omaha. George was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Salem Lutheran Church, Fremont. He and his wife joined United Lutheran Church of Scribner, April 4, 1954. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church with Rev. R. R. Pfeiffer officiating. Burial was in Pebble Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfred Meyer, Arnold Meyer, Gilbert Mohr, John Dorfmeyer, Marion Havekost, and Bernard Schole.
