Tobiason, a Wayne township farmer, died suddenly Tuesday morning following a heart attack. He had been picking berries along the railroad right of way near his home and must have been enroute home for dinner when he suffered an attack. Tobiason's body was found lying on the ties along side of the side of the track. It was first noticed by the engineer on the Milwaukee railroad freight train, which left Monticello at 2:30 p.m. The train was stopped and a messenger sent to the Tobiason home to notify Mrs. Tobiason and telephone for the county coroner. Coroner F.L. Harrington of Wyoming made an investigation and held that no inquest was necessary. Funeral services for Mr. Tobiason will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30 at the family home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Rufus P. Young, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be made at Oakwood cemetery. Mr. Tobiason was a son of Tobias and Anna Tobiason. He was born May 3, 1877, on the Tobiason homestead in Wayne Township. He continued to live on the same farm throughout his life. After attending rural schools he assisted his father with the work on the farm. Mr. Tobiason was married January 30, 1902, to Mary Bohlken. The marriage occurred at the home of the bride's parents and was performed by Rev. W.H.L. Schuetz, former pastor of St. John's Lutheran church. Mr. and Mrs. Tobiason had lived for 44 years on the same farm. They became the parents of two sons, Tobias F. Tobiason, Atkins, Iowa, and Milton G.H. Tobiason, who lives on the home farm. The two boys were enroute into northern Minnesota on a fishing trip when their father's death occurred. They were notified by the Minnesota state police over the radio and thus were enabled to return home immediately. In addition to his wife and son, Mr. Tobiason is survived by one sister, Mrs. Herman Hanken, of Wayne Township.
