An old and respected gentleman by the name of George H. Wright fell off of a hay-rack and was killed instantly. An old and respected gentleman by the name of George H. Wright fell off of a hay-rack and was killed instantly. Mr. Wright and his son ( George Edward Wright) were stacking oats, and on driving to the stack, George stopped to let his father off, and supposing he was, started up again. The old gentleman was standing on the outer edge of the rack, and when the team started he fell off striking on his head breaking his neck. He was 76 years old and was hail for a man of his age. He was born and raised in England, coming to this country soon after the war closed. He leaves a family of grown children who are mostly all living around Blencoe and Onawa. The friends and family extend their sincere sympathy in their hour of grief. He was buried at Blencoe, Friday afternoon.
