Trower, aged 83 years, passed away shortly after noon on Tuesday, January 13, at the home of his son Harry Trower in Spirit Lake. George Trower was born October 21, 1858 at Toronto, Canada and passed away January 13, 1942 at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 22 days. When a small child, his mother moved him to Shannon Illinois, where he lived until his son Harry brought him to Spirit Lake to live with him in 1929. He was united in marriage to Tillie Welfelt in 1882 and to this union was born three sons, Harry of Spirit Lake, Art of McHenry Ill., and one unknown. Tillie Trower passed away when the children were young. He was united in marriage to Eva I. Corbin on October 21, 1931 at the home of J. T. Gadd by Rev. Herbert Marsh, and his wife survives him. They made their home with the Harry Trower family . He is survived also by one grandson, George LaRoy Trower, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs Harry Trower.
