Description	:	George Henry Aufdenkamp, son of Ernst Henry Aufdenkamp and wife Louise Marie, nee Staarker, was born November 13, 1856 at Bear Branch Ind., at which place he was also baptized and confirmed in the Bear Branch Lutheran Church. On the 22nd of Feb., 1883 he was married to Wilhelmina Kietenbrink of Friendship, Indiana. Read More	George Henry Aufdenkamp, son of Ernst Henry Aufdenkamp and wife Louise Marie, nee Staarker, was born November 13, 1856 at Bear Branch Ind., at which place he was also baptized and confirmed in the Bear Branch Lutheran Church. On the 22nd of Feb., 1883 he was married to Wilhelmina Kietenbrink of Friendship, Indiana. This union the Lord blessed with nine children, three proceeding him into eternity in infancy and a daughter Adelia, wife of Rev. L. Ernst, in 1931 and also his wife who died four years ago. Soon after their marriage they moved to Chapin, Ill. from which two years later they moved to Adams County, Nebraska, locating on a farm near Kenesaw where they lived for 35 years. In the year 1920 they moved to Davenport, Thayer County, Nebraska, where Mr. Aufdenkamp was engaged in farming and dealing in gas and oil until three years ago when his age prevented him from active business. Mr. Aufdenkamp was always in good health until last winter when; his weak health confined him to his house. In the summer however, he again regained his strength so that he able to visit his youngest daughter at Kimberly, Idaho. Remaining there two months he again returned to Davenport apparently in good health, and decided to live with son Ernst and family, but this pleasure he did not enjoy very long. On December 3rd he became suddenly very ill, growing weaker every day until the Lord, on December 12th, called him from this vale of tears to Himself in heaven. He leaves to mourn his departure two daughters, Mrs. Frank Finnigsmier of Juniata and Mrs. Martin Holtzen of Kimberly, Idaho; three sons, Ernst and Paul of Davenport and Elvin of Holstein; seventeen grand children and two brothers, Henry of Chapin Ill. and Fred of Holstein, Nebraska, and a great number of friends. He reached the good old age of 80 years and 29 days. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 15, at 10 a.m. at Davenport, Ev. Lutheran Church where Rev. Reimmtz of Kiowa had the services. Burial was made at the Lutheran Cemetery in Adams County, Wanda Township, where Rev. A. W. Wilh had charge of the services.
