George attended Creighton Schools as a youth and married Constance I. Prewitt. Two children were born to them. George was a retail shoe businessman and also had served as bailiff for District Court. He served in the army for three years. He was a member of the Creighton Knights men's chorus, the American Legion and was a member of the American Lutheran Church and baptized and confirmed in Eden Valley Church. George served on the church board and was Sunday School superintendent for three years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Connie; one son, Garth James Falter of Valentine, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Mary Renee) Sturges of Sioux City, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Tyler of Hartington, Mrs. Margaret Butler of Omaha, two brothers, Carl Falter of Creighton and Raymond Falter of San Diego, Calif. and six grandchildren.
