Boone street claimed George Hines, a pioneer of the county. Death was indirectly due to a fall sustained by Mr. Hines, about a week ago, which resulted in a concussion and hemorrhage Mr. Hines was born Dec. 9, 1839 in Mercer County, Ohio and came to Marshall County in a covered wagon in 1865, settling on a farm in Minerva township. Some years later he engaged in the retail hardware business having had stores at St. Anthony, LeGrand and Melbourne. Twentyfive years ago he moved to this city and has resided here since. On Aug. 1860, he married Miss Elizabeth Keopple in Ohio. She preceded him in death Sept. 8, 1922. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mathilda J. Reed, and Mrs. Arthur Wilson of Napa, Idaho. Mrs. Harriet A. McLane, city, and Mrs. E.E. Moser, of Matheson, Colorado. E.D. Hines, Aberdeen, Idaho, A.E. Hines, Elkton, Minn. and F.F. Hines, Montour and a sister Mrs. Sallie Felver of Celina, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon with a short prayer service at 1 O;Clock at the Wilbur Mortuary and a service at 2 O'Clock at the Christian Church, Clemons with Rev. Sylvester E. Ellis in charge. Burial will be in the Clemons Cemetery.
