Chamberlin, 78, who passed away Sunday, August 10th, at a Grand Island hospital, were held last Wednesday at 10:00 am in the McIntyre Funeral Home here with the Rev. W. G. Volker in charge. Services were held at 1 pm at the Congregational church at Stanton, the Rev. Samuel Cushing officiated. Burial was in the Stanton Cemetery.... George J. Chamberlin, son of Alva and La Vina Chamberlin was born at Cambridge, Iowa, March 3, 1874. On February 22, 1915 he was united in marriage to Bertie Rison at West Point, Nebraska. They located here in the vicinity of Wolbach in 1918, farming until eight years ago when they retired from farming and moved into Wolbach where he resided until the time of his death. He passed away at the St. Francis hospital in Grand Island Sunday morning, August 10th, having at- (sic, line apparently left out) months and seven days. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Genevene Bomgardner of Grand Island, two grandchildren, Mrs. Donald Borre of Lincoln and S/Sgt Richard Knudsen of Tucson, Arizona; five brothers; Oliver, Norfolk; Anson, Ben and Roy all of Stanton; and Frank, address unknown.
