Description	:	George Linville Harrison was born February 11, 1872, near Tabor in Mills county, Iowa. He was the youngest child in a family of 10 children born to Samuel and Amelia Ventis Harrison, who had migrated from Indiana to Mills county in 1853. In January, 1875, he, with other members of the Harrison family, moved to a new home in Lincoln Township, Monona County, Iowa. Here he grew to manhood. February 15, 1893 he married Miss Jennie Persinger. To this union were born five children: Blanche Livingstone, Danville, Virginia; Esther Chorbajian who died in February, 1933; Charles S. Harrison, Paton, Iowa;... Read More	George Linville Harrison was born February 11, 1872, near Tabor in Mills county, Iowa. He was the youngest child in a family of 10 children born to Samuel and Amelia Ventis Harrison, who had migrated from Indiana to Mills county in 1853. In January, 1875, he, with other members of the Harrison family, moved to a new home in Lincoln Township, Monona County, Iowa. Here he grew to manhood. February 15, 1893 he married Miss Jennie Persinger. To this union were born five children: Blanche Livingstone, Danville, Virginia; Esther Chorbajian who died in February, 1933; Charles S. Harrison, Paton, Iowa; W. Hugh Harrison, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Ruth H. Christiansen, Dayton, Ohio. His wife Jennie, departed this life April 15, 1956, after 63 years of devoted married life in a home of Christian ideals. Early in life he accepted Christ and united with the Christian church in Whiting, Iowa, and remained faithful through life. He departed this life in the Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, Iowa, on September 28, 1956, age 84 years, 8 months and 17 days. He is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, also a host of friends from the various communities where the family had resided in Whiting, Castana, Moorhead and Irwin.
