MORRISON DIES SUDDENLY IN OTTAWA David S Morrison, aged 70 years, formerly of Clarsholm district and the father of Lloyd Morrison, collapsed very suddenly on the street in Ottawa, Ontario, Saturday evening and expired before medical assistance could be summoned. The late Mr Morrison was born in Bristol, Quebec, and after spending his younger manhood in the Ottawa Valley, he decided to answer the call of the West, so in 1910 he and his family moved to Vancouver, BC. After spending two years there he returned to the prairies, locating east of Claresholm. In 1927 he decided to enlarge his holdings and moved to High River, where he was actively engaged in farming until about a year prior to his death. His wife predeceased him by several years. Mr Morrison was a staunch Presbyterian, later transferring to the United Church of Canada. He leaves to mourn the loss of a loving and kindly adviser his three sons Lloyd of Claresholm David at High River Spence at Grande Prairie, AB and five grandchildren. The Rev A.H. Rowe of High River, assisted by Rev R.W. Dalgliesh of Claresholm, will conduct the services from the High River United Church on Saturday afternoon at 230 o'clock . Interment will take place in the Highwood cemetery with A.W. Kelly directing the funeral arrangements.
